Association of shared decision making with inpatient satisfaction: a cross-sectional study

Abstract Background We assessed inpatient perceived shared decision making (SDM) and tested the association of SDM with satisfaction in public tertiary hospitals Shanghai, China. Methods A cross-sectional survey 2585 inpatients 47 Shanghai July August 2018 was conducted. overall 4 aspects factors influencing patient (patient physician services, medical expenses, outcomes care), by adopting linear or two-level regression models. Results The positive response rate (PRR) high (HPRR) to among were relatively (95.30% 87.86%, respectively), while HPRR “My informed me different treatment alternatives” low (80.09%).
